Roger was born in Suffolk, a county renowned for its wildlife and abundance of birds.
Wildlife art has a vital role to play in raising people’s awareness of conservation and our natural habitat, and Roger’s work highlights the beauty and pleasure obtained by simple observation.
In 1992, Roger forfeited a successful business career to pursue his art. Completely self taught, he developed a technique in acrylics where he carefully adds paint in many layers, with extensive use of under painting and glazes.
A campaigner and fund raiser for wildlife projects, Roger is currently assisting the Waveney Valley project, creating suitable habitats for owls and other birds of prey.
