Natalie Mascall has always loved drawing since she was little, especially the eyes; they intrigue her.

She is a  self-taught Professional Wildlife Artist undertaking Commissions such as any Pet Portraits and any Wildlife.

Natalie visited Kenya in October 2007 and can’t wait to go back as the experience was inspiring and seeing the wildlife has left her in awe!

In October 2006 TWAS exhibition Natalie won the ‘Christopher Parson Award for Artistic Excellence’ (a four piece competition). Then in July 2007 she had the maximum pictures accepted, which is three, then found out that they had all been ‘Highly Recommended’ at the NEWA exhibition.

Natalie entered a competition ‘Wildlife Art of the Year 2008′ run by David Shepherd Wildlife Foundation in January 2008 and was short-listed.  She was over the moon. The short-listed got exhibited alongside ‘Three Generations’ at the Mall Gallery and Natalie sold her piece on the preview night. Natalie said it was an amazing evening.

Loving animals, wildlife and nature is what inspires Natalie, which she expresses through her artwork.

In April 2009 Natalie found out that both of her original pastel drawings (‘Contemplate’ and ‘Magnificent!’) she entered into ‘BBC Wildlife Artist of the Year 2009′ were finalists in the competition….she was very excited….

………On the 28th June 2009, Natalie, (with much delight) found out that she is one of the 14 category winners in the ‘BBC Wildlife Artist of the year 2009′ in ‘Endangered Species’ category with ‘Contemplate’ ( SEE BELOW) ….

Her other competition piece ’Magnificent!’ came runner-Up in the ‘World Mammals’ category…

The 14 category winners (including herself) will all be published in the BBC Wildlife Magazine….
