Melissa & Grizzly
Melissa Jordan was born in London and spent many happy hours as a child drawing animals at London zoo where her cousin was a keeper. After years of primary school teaching, raising a family and helping her husband run a business, she now has the time to devote to her artwork as she is retired in living in rural Norfolk.
Melissa has travelled widely, observing and painting wildlife and in 2008 fulfilled a lifetime ambition to camp in the wilderness of the Alaskan Great Bear Camp, painting, photographing, and studying animal; behaviour, in particular grizzly bears.
She specialises in pencil work, watercolour and gouache capturing the fine details of the animals she portrays and loves.
