I am a full time animal artist, working in pastels.

I loved art from a very early age and it was always my favourite subject at school. I went on to take a degree in graphic design but abandoned art for a career in marketing.

Having always been an animal lover, it was my own dog that finally inspired me to take up art again and in 1991 I created a portrait of her in coloured pencils. In 1998 I tried pastels, fell in love with the medium and discovered my true passion for drawing animals.

I painted several animal portraits for family and friends over the years, while working full time. In 2009 I decided to actively seek commissions, created a website and attended events promoting and demonstrating my work. It proved very successful and in 2010 I gave up the “day job” and am now a full time artist.

I still carry out many pet portrait commissions and my wildlife art is exhibited at various shows in the UK. Limited edition prints of my work are also available.
