David A. Finney
Cheshire Wildlife Artist David A. Finney has had a lifelong interest in Natural-History, and a particular passion for British birds.
David’s detailed acrylic paintings of birds and other animals have been reproduced on fine bone-china plates by Spode and Danbury Mint, and on countless greetings-cards all over the world. He has been commissioned and published by RSPB, RSPCA, Medici and many others. His distinctive sense of humour is displayed in his ‘Naughty by Nature’ series of card designs for the Romansleigh Collection and in his ‘Party Penguins’ for WWF.
He has his serious side, too, being an integral part of the organising committee for the National Exhibition of Wildlife Art.
David is an active member of the South East Cheshire Ornithological Society.
“I draw my inspiration from the countryside around me”, he says, “and hope my appreciation of it shows through in my work”.
