Carol was born and still lives in the rural Fens of Cambridgeshire, where she has always enjoyed observing and sketching the wildlife and surroundings.
Completely self taught, she has loved painting since childhood, but like most people was distracted by career and family life. Since her family has grown she has returned to painting and has found pastel to be her preferred medium.
Carol’s passion is animals and she has found pastel to be ideal for drawing them as it portrays so well the texture and softness of their coats.
Tigers and snow leopards are Carol’s favourite animals to paint, but she also takes great pleasure in producing pet portrait commissions.
Carol is a member of FenVAC and has had work exhibited at the Angles Theatre, and the West Norfolk Artists’ Association exhibition and various animal related establishments in her local area.
